Our Mission:
We are God’s servants sharing, caring and seeking the will of God through the Spirit of God according to the Word of God.
We have determined that God has called us to reach out to all the lost and all those to whom God gives us opportunity, by the use of our spiritual gifts He has given us, by being available to pray for and with them, to share ourselves and our possessions, to proclaim God’s Word to them, to love them in practical ways as God loved us and showed His love by giving His son to pay the penalty for our sin.( Luke 6:38; John 3:16; 15:12; 1Cor. 12:7-12; 2Cor. 5:18-20; James 2:14-18)
Our Purpose:
We will accomplish the above by using the tools we have in the body by inviting the lost and participating with them in events such as Worship Services, Sunday School, outreach ministries like VBS, Bible Clubs, Youth Ministries and the like using God’s Word as our standard and guide. ( John 1:40-42; 1Cor. 9:19-23; 14:23-33)
May the Holy Spirit use the examples of our lives as witnesses to all that God can do in the life of one surrendered to Him by His strength. ( Rom. 12:1-2; Phil. 1:6; 1Tim. 4:12; 1Peter 2:21; 4:11)
We can only accomplish this all by the empowering of God, through our continued obedience to Him and through the continual filling of the Holy Spirit and our encouragement and support of one another in the body. ( Is. 41:10; John 15:5-8; Eph. 5:18; Heb. 3:13; 10:25)
Our obedience to God will be evident by our servant leadership, the participation of every member in the body by the use of their spiritual gifts. We will stand on the authority of the Bible through the guidance of the Holy Spirit in every situation we encounter.
We will take our responsibility to be good stewards with all the financial blessings God provides, to use them knowing they all belong to God and not to us. ( Matt. 20:25-28; John 14:25; 1Cor. 12; 2Cor. 8; 9:6-15; 2Tim. 3:16)
We will fellowship with any and all who have trusted solely in the Blood of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins regardless of their denominational preference. ( Mark 9:38-40; John 15:12-17)
We will worship God by the Leading of the Holy Spirit in accordance to the Scriptures, not held by any standard of man, but in truth and in a right spirit, focusing on God and not to impress any man. ( John 4:24; 1Cor. 14:26-40)
As disciples of Jesus Christ we have received power from the Holy Spirit to be witnesses for Christ in our local area, in our region and unto all the earth. Our goal of making disciples is to baptize and teach them obedience to Christ in all things. Sending them forth to make disciples as well.( Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8 )
Declaration of Faith
A. The Bible: We believe in the absolute authority, accuracy and inerrancy of the 66 books of the Bible; the full verbal inspiration of the original manuscripts and all-sufficiency and final authority of the Bible as the Christian’s rule of faith and practice (Proverbs 30:5; Isaiah 40:8; II Timothy 3:16,17; II Peter 1:19-21).
B. God: We believe that there is but one God, the Creator, Preserver and Ruler of all things, who is perfect in holiness and in love, infinite in wisdom and measureless in power, and who reveals Himself to us as three distinct entities: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Nehemiah 9:6; I Chronicles 29:11, 12; I John 4:8b; Matthew 28:19).
C. Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal and only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and that He is true God and true man and is the only Mediator between God and man (Matthew 1:20; Luke 1:35; John 1:1, 12, 14; John 12:45, 14:9; I Timothy 2:5).
D. Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine Person, equal with the Father and the Son, and of the same substance and nature, that He convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment; that He bears witness to the church; that He is the agent of the new birth; that at conversion He baptizes the believer into the Body of Christ; and that He seals, endues, guides, teaches, witnesses to, sanctifies and helps the believer, indwelling every true child of God (John 16:8-11; 3:3-7; Ephesians 1:13; II Corinthians 13:14; John 14:16,17; Romans 8:14-27; I Corinthians 12:12,13).
E. Man: We believe that man was created in the image of God by direct creation and that he originally lived in fellowship and communication with God. By man’s choice he sinned, breaking this fellowship and incurring both physical and spiritual death. Thus all human beings are sinners by nature and by choice and are unable of themselves to re-establish fellowship with God. Apart from Christ all individuals shall be forever separated from God (Genesis 1:26; Ezekiel 18:20a; Romans 3:23; Titus 3:5; Ephesians 2:8,9; Romans 6:23).
F. Justification: We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary Sacrifice and that all who believe on Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood ( I Corinthians 15:3,4; Revelation 1:5).
G. Salvation: We believe that salvation is by grace through faith, not of works, and that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are born again of the Holy Spirit, thereby becoming children of God. We believe in the eternal security of the believer (Ephesians 2:8,9; John 3:3, 7; 1:12; 10:27-29; Romans 8:14-17).
H. Resurrection: We believe in the bodily resurrection of our crucified Lord, in His ascension into heaven and in His present ministry there for us as High Priest and Advocate (I Corinthians 15:4; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 4:14-16; I John 2:1-2). We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just, the bodily resurrection of the unjust, the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost (I Corinthians 15:20-24; Revelation 20:12-15; II Corinthians 5:8).
I. Local Church: We believe that the local church is the local expression of the Body of Christ and is a voluntary association of baptized believers equal in rank and privilege, subject to the Word of God and Headship of Christ, and independent of any external ecclesiastical control whatsoever (I Corinthians 12:12-13:7).
J. Baptism: We believe that God’s Word commands every believer to be baptized. It is our conviction and practice that baptism is correctly administered by immersion in water. Though baptism has no saving merit, it shows forth in solemn and beautiful symbolism the believer’s faith in and union with the crucified, buried and risen Savior (Matthew 28;19; Acts 2:41; Acts 8:38; Acts 18:8; Romans 6:3-5).
K. The Lord’s Supper: We believe that the Lord’s Supper is an ordnance of Christ, providing the bread and the cup as symbols of Christ’s broken body and shed blood; that the Lord’s Supper is to be partaken of by saved individuals in commemoration of the suffering and death of their Lord and in anticipation of His soon coming again; and that its observance is to be preceded by faithful self-examination (Luke 22:12, 20; I Corinthians 11:23-30).
L. The Future: We believe in the personal, visible, imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His church and in His coming in glory with the believers to set up His meillennial kingdom upon the earth, followed by an eternal kingdom in a new heaven and a new earth. The saved will forever be in His presence and fellowship, while the unsaved will be forever separate from God and His fellowship (I Thessalonians 4:13-17; Revelation 19:11-16; 20:1-15; 21:1-8).
